Skylab 1973 rebuild

Here is where the power and display consule goes.
Lots of things. Screen shot from the you tube tour.
I get framerate around 300.
But I have a couple of skylab for testing.

I know this has nothing to do with Skylab but just got this book about Apollo and the pictures are amazing and a lot of them never published

tbh, I've never get that 'never seen before' type of news regarding anything about the Apollo program.
where have they been all these years ? in some forgotten drawer ? in someone's basement ?
I thought ALL the Apollo pics are on NASA's Apollo flight journal page ?
why would some be left out ? were they out of focus or something ?

I recommend looking at the NTRS from time to time, they get sometimes new scans of old Apollo era documents there. I'd found some early Shuttle stuff there from 1970-1972, which was just recently added to the library.

Power and Display console.
Lots of switches. One thing I noticed is this unit uses 2 types of switches. In the drawings one panel uses round and some use rectangle.

I had to make the Power and Display Console another mesh as I ran out of memory with exporting the whole OWS mesh.

The skylab operation manual has a lot of details.,,,,

I need to make the 2 wall stuff.

All photos should be available (for many years now) in here: https://apolloarchive.com/
and now in here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/projectapolloarchive/

That cover image seems to be a composite of photos from this magazine: https://www.flickr.com/photos/projectapolloarchive/albums/72157658627346820/with/21057668873

Back on topic, there are a few photos of the Skylab missions in the (original) website.

More details. Might have to make them into separate meshes?

I think someone already suggested this somewhere on this thread, which I agree as it could help in lowering performance issues it might encounter
Yes. But this is just the dome hi def. I feel even the dome needs to be done separately. Right now the dome and power display console are 2 meshes.

Not sure how which mesh should be separate.

Shall I make you a drawing how I would solve this from a coding POV? Sadly, I can't take the mesh tasks and the extra work for meshes from you.

this is just the dome part that is hi def.

It is still missing shower, equipment,.....

I will need to find what goes in those empty sections

One thought is just to texture the control panels and have no switch and guard meshes? But then it will be flat.

I guess I could use the exterior mesh and have all the windows closed. The only interior would be in the airlock section?

Been watching a you tube of Skylab animation. I notice these parking on it. It looks like they are on the ship. So I will add them to the exterior.
