Project ReShade for Orbiter D3D9 (WIP Thread)

dunno what to tell you guys, I now have Windows 11 and it's still work perfectly

edit:
although, it should be said - I actually don't use true Reshade, I believe this is some kind... simplified version SweetFX
so, here's my version of it, maybe it could be useful to someone

as said before - extract into your Orbiter2016\Modules\Server folder
I hope we all talk about same game version. I use 2024 ...pretty sparingly 😊

and I can't test it now but I made ON/OFF button tilde key (¸) - the one above TAB key, but you can change it to anything you want via "Global_settings" text file

Alright!

So, while the original author's solution no longer seems to work for myself and a few others, Reshade 6.0 is compatible with Orbiter 2016 as long as you install it using the DirectX 9 option through the Reshade installer .exe. Like SolarLiner mentioned, installing Reshade onto the Orbiter2016\Modules\Server\orbiter.exe is required, then launch on Orbiter2016\orbiter_ng.exe as usual. After a few hours of tweaking, I was able to get impressive fantastic results.

Mind-blowing!

I personally made my own Reshade installation it's working perfectly.
I can't talk for the Windows 11 people since I use Windows 10 but I doubt there is significant change between these version that wouldn't allow reshade to work on Windows 11

How did you do this?

Install the latest version of Reshade 6.0 from their website, open it and install it into \Orbiter2016\Modules\Server\orbiter.exe in DirectX 9 mode (if using D3D9). I've detailed the other steps in the post you've replied to.
