That was a fun read, though I have to say that my lady doesn't like whiskers all that much...

Same here. I like to grow a full beard while at work, but my ladies and my son are absolutely opposed to even high number sandpaper feeling. Looking into my face is thus, a very good way to tell how long I did not come back home.

Day 31 of a 28 day outage. Looks like at least another week until we can close the breaker.

A few managers are going to need to start looking for new jobs.

Please, keep them employed. They could try building airports in Germany.

Yes, Areva (spelling difficult on cell phone). The could maybe help with Iran's nuclear program. It'd set them poor guys back decades.

Exactly, we would never have to worry about Iran getting a nuclear bomb, because it will always be only 30 days away from being finished, almost done.

Having worked with Areva I can verify that this would be the best way to ensure Iran stays non-nuclear. Send them to North Korea too.

We're finally in mode 4. Still have some unresolved issues. Have an RCP with a cooler that is leaking (about 6 oz. per hour). The cooler is leaking NOT the RCP...

Due to other units outage schedules it looks as if we're going to run with it and have a planned "forced" outage in March sometime.

PhantomCruiser is facing his own Apollo 13 type scenario. I say all us Orbinauts should get together and find a way to resolve this issue ourselves instead of those pesky 30-day-behind managers. We have had enough of these incompetent people.

Oh, that's easy. Whatever they reject for reasons that don't make any sense whatsoever, is the right course... as it's likely the most reasonable, sensible, and effective way to do things.

Management. Rejecting reality and substituting their own since time immemorable.

Sure, let's do a skype session with a big box of random junk that he might have lying around and bootstrap some fix...

Quickly fixed: Just takes chewing gum, duct tape and a paperclip.

Guilty (while in fossil power anyway)

Fossil? That's often found in German atom splitters as well, according to the safety reports.

But I never read of such a fix on a RCP, so maybe it could become a first of a kind.

Spready Mercury!

Breaker closed this morning, breaker open this afternoon (primary 6900V service panel for RCP3, breaker was racked out (oops). So somebody missed something on a checklist somewhere. Somehow they will pin this on maintenance.

Well, it made me laugh...
