Indeed. The Navy and Marines are very tight and share many resources. I have a close friend who is a combat vet, retired Navy Corpsman. He was assigned/embedded with Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan. Still stays in touch with the ones that came home.
Funnily, the current storm in Germany got the name "Elon" and is much stronger than expected. Is that an omen for the launch tomorrow?
Hey guys, how big can an add-on documentation be? Working on one, and I kinda wanted to, um, overdo it a bit...
Also, why do people think the A-10 is ugly?
It's hard to beat the 'Hog for close air support. Even harder when they operate in groups of three, that's a bad time to be a bad guy.

The typical 8 hour day of an A-10 pilot: Fly a one hour to the targets, fire weapons, head home for picking up new ammo with running engines without leaving your jet except for a short stop at the restroom, return, look for targets you missed, refuel in the air, look for new targets, head home to pick up new ammo, return to the target box, ...
That sounds more interesting and less boring...though i'm curious, is it hard to aim the GAU-8 if say, your targeting computer of some kind is damaged and you can't use it?
What is a targeting computer?
Oh damnit, sorry...I had little sleep for the past few days...,
So they confiscated my Nutella at the airport. Apparently it was a liquid and in a handbag so it was a no-go. Seriously though, what were they afraid of? That the calories would suddenly explode out of the jar? It was even sealed and untouched, for probe's sake. And why is it a liquid if it doesn't even budge when you turn it upside down? Hell, even plastic is a liquid if you heat it long enough.
And to add gas to the fire, they sell Nutella at the duty-free. Why would you sell something if it wouldn't get past security control if it had to? This stinks of hypocrisy.
Airport security has trouble separating terrorists from tourists.
