according to IPA ... it be 'urwumpε

Is that phonetic or phonemic?

And is the mapping of spelling to pronunciation for the dialect in question substantially the same as for Hochdeutsch? If so, I'd transcribe it as ['uɐvumpə] (phonetic), or /'urvumpε/ (phonemic). For English speakers that don't speak IPA, that's "Oorvoompuh".

Coincidentally that same name was the person who was responsible for signing the strategic partnership with ACME and MS Enterprises, Inc.
This alliance would improve the quality of MS products.

In other news today I realized that we are in the month 7 to the year:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:.
Too much math for my mind.

should be a phonetic w not a v ... like you say "Wind" in German. not sure about the beginning TBH but its spoken different to the ur in "Wurm".

"Wind" in German is IPA [vɪnd]. More generally orthographic "w" in German is phonetically IPA [v] . German doesn't have [w], which is the sound in French oui, or the English word "water".

As for the phonetic transcription of /ur/, I used the pronunciation that I've been taught for Hochdeutsch, but my understanding is that there's a considerable degree of variability between dialects on the pronunciation of post-vocalic /r/.

I can not wait to see the first image of Pluto. Since my childhood I expect to see detailed images of Pluto.

Found some sample code for a problem I need solved, since I can't solve it on my own.
Code needs libraries from the NVidia SDK to build.

I download a bloated piece of... thing... called CUDA, because that's the first thing you get when googling NVIDIA sdk. The thing installs, but does not contain the library.
Further googling reveals the NVIDIA openGL SDK. I download latest version, it does not contain the library.
I look in the project properties of the sample code and see that the include directory is for the SDK 9. Ok, download that... it's a lot larger than version 10.
I want to install, and it has the guts to tell me that it won't install because the SDK is not compatible with a 64 bit system. AAAAAARGH!!!

Comme on, an SDK is supposed to be a bunch of libs and headers, and that's all I need from that file, maybe 10 megs or something. But I can't get at the freaking thing because the installer refuses to pack them out. And of course it's packed up in a way that extracting the EXE does not unpack the files but yet another installer. NYARGHARGHARGHAAAAAAAAA!!

I'm waisting an awful lot of time here on the unwillingness to distribute important files in a zip archive. I'm hating it!!!

In the midst of MH17, it seems that these days aren't the best on railway safety either - after the Moscow metro derailment (I still can't understand how a power failure can cause the train to simply derail and pile up in the tunnel) I just saw one news about a train crash in France....? :uhh:
