Well, I've played most of the first period and all of the second period short-handed (and it seems like I'll be playing 5-on-3 PP for the rest of the game this way, if this keeps up) and it also seems as if my players are playing with a fundamental flaw.
Or at least, a minor character weakness.
That is, they seem to be constitutionally incapable of passing an opposing team's jersey without endeavoring to thump the living daylights out of its wearer. The last interference call was for my center ignoring the face-off puck drop and charging the opposing center and flipping him over onto the ice while the ref scuttled like the dickens to get out of the way.![]()
In NHL '96 I enjoyed injuring opponents for the game/season. Worth the penalty.
As far as I know, they have yet to put a prison in a sports game, so no worry about murder charges or such...
