Reasons why I haven't been to the cinema for ages:

No movie, even if it's a great movie, can beat a well-written book version.

Took me three LotR and two Harry Potters to realise, which are now ruined for me.
Lucky you haven't watched The Jumper. They broke the third book to fit the super-crappy movie.
Or The Inhabited Island, which sounds like a third year's free word retell of the book.

There are counter-examples to the rule, like some soviet cinematic adaptations of the Bulgakov's books, but nothing recent comes to mind.

Well, he's right. It isn't a word.

My daughter has made a "Who would you do list" on pinterest.

Well, this thread just got a bit more creepy.

Its been getting that way lately.

I'm afraid I'm to blame, hopefully the probe will still smile on me.

So as you may have noticed, Delta Vee! now has error checking. The road to getting it was quite painful. It was made more painful than necessary because I tried every one of my ideas last night & kept getting compilation errors I couldnt understand.

Then I checked my project settings

Yeah, back in my days we did this during lazy math classes on the last paper of our notepad.

Although we didn't had the internet during our math classes, so that's probably a sampling bias.

Back to serious stuff.

I like how the pilot is protected by a metal box. Seems they were not excluding the possibility of a warningless mid-air explosion

Nice aerospike engine.

BTW Neil Armstrong almost killed himself with that thing if I remember well.

Ah, well I guess they figured they might as well try

Maybe they figured a blast from the RCS might hit him?

Try clicking the Paperclip in the advanced editor, alas it is too late, for I already did. :P

I think they mostly feared the whole thing suddenly blowing up into hundreds of debris

The explosion is caused by Neil's ejection. But I mean, when you survive that, you feel confident at a few dozen meters over the lunar surface, with uneven terrain under you and mission control telling you " *beep* 30 seconds *beep* ". :hail:

I think it's quite good actually.

Why thankyou :)

But it wasnt ready yet. I hope to eventually do more similar things; Harvester, Martins, and Hlynacg would be hopeful future subjects. DBeachy was a great person to start with though, very patient, gives good answers

You should probably throw in Moach too, since A) He's Harvester's brother, and B) He runs the G42 project. Maybe Jedidia(spe?) since he did IMS. Off to a great start, too. :)

We had now 178% of the usual average amount of rain in May. It really sucks. Lots of flooding here, and worst of all: The basil I am growing on my balcony suffers badly from the amount of rain :(

Someone just confused last November (places in Germany with literally no rain at all) and this May while coding the weather.

Saint Peter is probably still trying to get the hang of the new IT system they installed...
