Yes. This would be an excellent time to shuffle off to that timeshare you've been secretly stashing towards.

Living vicariously... and a boost to self esteem.

Six years ago I started teaching a twelve year old boy the basics of trig. He got straight A's in calculus through high school. To keep him off my computers I built him his own. Now he knows his way around a machine. He was class president all the way through his senior year. Recently he was accepted to Stanford, Harvard, and West Point. He ultimately chose Harvard and will participate in R.O.T.C. with Marines. I can only say that I'm proud of him, he did the work. But I still can't stop myself from smiling inwardly just a little.

While watching something on Youtube I saw an ad for "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter"....I've officially lost all faith in the movie industry.

I have 3 years, 3 months, 20 days, 7 hours, and 42 minutes left :P

Wow... That's really early to start a countdown clock. I always wait until you're a "2 digit midget" (meaning below 99 days).

And in that regard I am Vacation Clock T+2:14:32

Daaaang. I'm jealous but I know I don't work that hard.

TVA is hiring nuclear operators...

She's joined a TTU facebook group "Class of 2016" already. She's already 75% into her freshman year because she did "dual enrollment" classes at Cleveland State Community College.
If she sticks to her plan () she wants to do classes in the summer also and graduate early.

The Federal Republic of ZZYZX is a fledgling, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its complete lack of prisons. Its intelligent population of 5 million enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

The enormous government juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Religion & Spirituality, and Education. The average income tax rate is 31%, but much higher for the wealthy. A substantial private sector is led by the Gambling industry, followed by Furniture Restoration and Cheese Exports.

Crime is relatively low. ZZYZX's national animal is the Crazy Penguin, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Zzyzx Mark.

There was this Nickelodeon sitcom (that was aimed at kids/teens) from several years ago called Drake and Josh.

One episode involved a model rocket, and a couple characters commented how the titular characters (in their mid-late teens) were too old to be playing with them. It was probably a solid-fuel rocket, because it accidentally hit a treehouse in someone else's backyard and set it on fire (IIRC).

Does anyone remember that?

Oh yeah, and Drake had a running gag of mispronoucing nosecone as "nosecon" with Josh correcting him.
