Getting old ain't for sissies...
Monday night - Band Awards night (check)
Tuesday night - Senior night (more awards and scholarships...) (check)
Wednesday night - Baccalaurate (up next)
Thursday night - Graduation (yeah!)
Friday morning - drive to Tampa... (ah crap)
All this while working 3rd shift and not calling in "sick" makes for some extra grey hair up top. Here's to hoping against hope that I'll have an easy night at work.

No such luck...

http://www.nationstates.net/nation=scootopotamia

The Principality of Scootopotamia is a fledgling, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, intelligent population of 5 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
The large government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Commerce, and Education. The average income tax rate is 26%, but much higher for the wealthy. A tiny private sector is dominated by the Book Publishing industry.
Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to a well-funded police force. Scootopotamia's national animal is the Klingon, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the toe.

I'm quite satisfied with this. Yes, quite satisfied.

And I presents me nation on nationstates: Aequalitia.

http://www.nationstates.net/aequalitia

The Republic of Aequalitia is a small, genial nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 29 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The large government is effectively ruled by the Department of Law & Order, with areas such as Social Equality and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 28%, but much higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Information Technology.

High-income earners pay a 100% tax rate, the alarmingly racist TV show 'Bigtopians Say the Darndest Things' is a hit, the police force is on a recruitment drive, and the Gristolec is a protected species. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Aequalitia's national animal is the Gristolec, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the dantisa.

Sounds not bad. :)

Wow, this is fun!

http://www.nationstates.net/nation=eleve_and_al_tzawazaad

The Confederacy of Eleve and Al Tzawazaad is a fledgling, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its devotion to social welfare. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 5 million are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Social Welfare, and Education. The average income tax rate is 51%, and even higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Pizza Delivery.

Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Eleve and Al Tzawazaad's national animal is the Nematode, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the ecu.

http://www.nationstates.net/nation=chunga I got sucked into this fad.

"The Republic of Chunga is a fledgling, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its absence of drug laws. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 5 million enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

The small government is effectively ruled by the Department of Commerce, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Law & Order receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 15%. A large private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Retail and Woodchip Exports.

Crime is a serious problem, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Chunga's national animal is the Chung, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Chungari."

"The Republic of The Furry Dicez is a large, safe nation, remarkable for its burgeoning Furry Dicez population. Its compassionate, hard-working population of 62 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The large government juggles the competing demands of Education, Law & Order, and Healthcare. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 22%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Motorists must pay to enter inner-cities during peak hours, the government has declared its commitment to multilateralism, the government extracts trade concessions from poor nations in exchange for humanitarian aid, and protests are prohibited from blocking traffic. Crime is well under control, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The Furry Dicez's national animal is the Furry Dicez, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Dicez."

My kid is now counting down the hours/minutes until she graduates high school.
