We could have been to Mars by '83.
Technologically, maybe, but obviously other things prevented it because it didn't happen.

And besides...so what if we had? By today it would have been yet another thing the previous generation accomplished that we will never live up to. :(

We could have been to Saturn in 70's, with Orion drive.
We could have been launching starships by now, with nuclear engines.
Starships due to arrive in the 2030's.

Instead, we sit and fart there on this nice planet, that slowly ceases to be nice.

excactly!
but on the other side:
if we had been on mars 30 years ago, I had no chance to become the first one on mars!

I think we should have been on Pluto while it was still a planet. Should have, mind you, not could have.

We had a massive party last night. It went for exactly 12 hours. I played about 40 games of pool. And i made a deal with my cousin that if i do her garden she will get me a new laptop. I am so happy. 20 cans of coke keeps you going all night.

Now take a guess what the party was for

The anniversary of the launch of the Mir core atop a Proton-K?

If you guys threw a party because of that, I'd totally party with you. :hailprobe:

Infidel Castro was probably in attendance.

And because of the low budget, the church songs had to be played by a High-infidelity system?
