Eh, I got my Facebook infected with a virus somehow*...it posted links to ALL of my friends, and it took like 45 minutes of constant, repeated clicks to get rid of them all... It would have been worse if one of my friends hadn't phoned me at 1am to let me know

Does anyone know how those Facebook virus things work? Are they keyloggers that get downloaded onto your computer, or does it hack your facebook directly?

*somehow meaning I clicked on a link in a facebook picture that wasn't actually a picture, but rather another website...it seemed fine at the time, though :facepalm:

Usually yes, but Facebook is also a huge security hole, it isn't really hard to compromise it.

Thanks - I downloaded Spybot Search & Destroy, it picked up a bunch of tracking cookies - perhaps one of them was the problem. I'm doing a full scan with McAfee now....hopefully it'll be done sometime within the current century :zzz:
