It's not often I laugh out loud over something on the Internet, which is what I did for nearly half a minute.

Meanwhile in Wolfsburg...
We don't have light bulbs anymore ... all changed to LED and LEDs are changed once per century.
LEDs - perhaps.and LEDs are changed once per century.
Interesting.right before the ban of the big ones took place? I think there were people there who stocked up until the end of time.
LEDs - perhaps.
LED drivers - certainly not.
They range from "burns out in a couple of years" to "POPpshhhhss in a few hours".
Post mortems show two typical faults - lack of heat sinking and/or absurdly small creepage/clearance distances.
Interesting.
What exactly was banned, and in what words?
Here at first the ban was on "100W lightbulbs", so the sellers promptly relabelled them as 99W lightbulbs, and continued selling as usual.

My dad was just going to the store to try to find a 120W, frosted light bulb. You guys are making me think we have to replace the whole set of lights...
None of the LEDs here had to be replaced in the past 3 years
Now, that's nothing a good slingshot cannot fix.
"Why would an orbital maneuver break Urwumpe's lights...oh"
I need some sleep.
