Well, Erding has no planes based there, it's only used for Tornado maintenance as it is so close to Munich Airport and the city of Erding.

Tornado Maintenance? At least a safe job until 2025, when the Tornado will go out of service after 50 years... sadly. I doubt that the Eurofighter will ever be a good Tornado replacement for the IDS or ECR roles.

"When the Battle's been won, tell of 401! Fighter pilots from Canada in the Battle of Britain, guarding the skies of the Isle."

Took this rather terrible screenshot tonight, figured that was the most fitting quote for it.

I recently learned of the problems Boeing Dreamliner, and coincidentally with the money I made with Orbiter Money Maker, I ordered a Dreamliner, and I'm worried. However, reassuringly, Boeing sent me a picture of the plane that I ordered. Still I have my doubts.

Do not looks bad, right?

Back in the bad old days of Counter-Strike i was involved with one of the early clans, I left clans behind me because of the attitude and behavior of the members. At the time i be leaved that it was just because most of the clan members where youths.
At the beginning of this year I decided to join a World of Tanks Clan to help out. And guess what I found out, Clans made up of adults are just as Stupid, ignorant and self serving egomaniacs as my previous experience with children and clans.
The clan has consistently getting it ass kicked by seemingly worse clans, because the commanders have no understanding of how to command, or the strengths and weaknesses of the other tanks in battle.
So now I am debating whether to just quit or confront the clan leaders with the truth about why they are doing so badly.[/RANT]

Interesting fact of the day from QI.

The term "The Third world" arose during the cold war to describe any nation not affiliated with NATO or the Communist block. But has since been used to describe developing nations.

 Well you got a good one, because that's actually a certain Boeing 727. It's already been tested in a accident condition! Or they they want you to handle the cleanup after [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_Boeing_727_crash_experiment"]what happened with it[/ame].

...But yeah, it looks fine (if you didn't want it intact). I would buy a plane in that condition.

Now I know how Zaphod must've felt...

Yeah, the original definition is quite hard to get into people's head today since it would mean countries like Austria, Switzerland or Sweden were the third world, while Oman, Angola, Namibia or the Iran were the first world (during some point, stability is overrated). It simply was a political definition and not an economical one although you could argue one lead to the other.

Which only goes to show: You only need to put real people in charge of operations in order to increase the realism of a simulator... :P

While Switzerland was technically unaffiliated, they did consider themselves very much part of the west (unlike today, where Swiss seem to consider themselves a world all of their own...) and very much part of the struggle against communism.

The cold war paranoia and the suspicion against "communism" or anything potentially affiliated with it, paired with Swiss provincialism that only understands half of what it's talking about, is legend. There's an old commedy show about a witty, but lazy "soldier" (H.D. Läppli). At one point he willingly misinterpreted orders and didn't show up at his regimen, got taken in by the police, and subsequently being accused of being a communist for it

I've found things to be exactly the same in Call of Duty over the years. It's also disappointing to hear grown men resort to name-calling, racial slurs, and jokes about 'your mom.'

 Didn't you spent some time in Germany? How did you survive without one here?

The 2009/2010 school year. I used my laptop for communication when I was in my dorm (or when I was staying for a few days somewhere else), and just went without when I was outside. I'd only had a cell phone for about a year before I spent that year abroad, so I was fairly used to living without one (I still am).

Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, Matt Smith, and Peter Capaldi each have a Bacon Number of 2.

John Hurt has a Bacon Number of 1.

John Hurt wins the TARDIS.

I still think they should cast Cumberbatch as a Doctor. It would be an interesting experiment...

How many science-fiction entertainment he can ruin?
If he's the Doctor he is suddenly a human from India, who was frozen hibernatically until his sleeper ship crash-landed on Gallifrey, where he stole a TARDIS but was fired on, which lead to the failure of the Chameleon Circuit. Oh yeah, he was hit because he didn't realize there are three dimensions in space instead of one like on the sea and during all this he hooked up with a certain River Song, who was inadvertendly killed by Torchwood agent Jack Harkness under his 23rd century identity James T. Kirk. Also his companions on the sleeper ship were captured by the Gallifreyans who tried to make powerful robot warriors out of them but lost control of them when every order except exterminating were deleted by a virus and ever since tried to save their species from extinction.

Did I butcher this enough or shall I go on?
