I share my birthday with [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leopold_Mozart"]Leopold Mozart[/ame] and [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Haise"]Fred Haise[/ame].
And [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_12"]Apollo 12[/ame] blasted off to the moon.

I share a birthday with Manuel Uribe, who was once the heaviest man in the world. It's a great thing to bring up around the firepit :b

Something not pertaining to the discussion:
Picked up Supreme Commander FA for the first time in like 4 months. The latest skirmish started out kinda slow, with me building and expanding my base over the next 45 minutes.

All of the sudden I had a perfect idea. In about 5 minutes I manufactured 12 T3 artillery, 12 T2 tanks, and 6 shield and AAA units for support. Then, as the final part of the plan they were all carried across the map at once and began bombardment:

Success! The AI asploded nukishly, taking out all the T1 stuff in his base and his land unit reserves. I'd call that a victory

Not much special about August the 23rd, mostly battles and executions. The first event noted on Wikipedia is pretty cool though:

79 – Mount Vesuvius begins stirring, on the feast day of Vulcan, the Roman god of fire.

also, on an ausgust the 23rd, the brits outlawed america, and the tire chain was patented. Somehow that last one seems most relevant to my life...

Happy Birthday Mars Odyssey! It's eleven years since we sent you out to Mars and you're still there, please help your buddy Curiosity down this August:thumbup:

For my birthday I've got...

The first council of Nicea
Magdeburg taken during the Thirty Years War
President Lincoln signs the Homestead Act into law
Krakatoa eruption

Sharing a birthday with..
Dolly Madison
Joe Cocker
Bronson Pinchot
Timothy Olyphant (same year)

Well my birthday was also the anniversary of the day that Skylab was launched, so that kind of makes up for World Naked Gardening Day.

But also I found out I share that same birthday with
- Mark Zuckerburg
- Miranda Cosgrove (same day, same year)....
One day I hope to replace her as the most important person born on that day of that year. Then Wikipedia will display my name.:chainsaw:

PS we really need an evil laugh smiley.

At least I got that:
1957 - Sputnik program: The Soviet Union launches Sputnik 2. On board is the first animal to enter orbit, a dog named Laika.

1973 - Mariner program: NASA launches the Mariner 10 toward Mercury. On March 29, 1973, it becomes the first space probe to reach that planet.

I knew it. I knew it.

All that utter nonsense about feathered dinosaurs is untrue!

Just look at these specimens. Completely featherless.

Wheatley

So, I like to take pictures of things and use them as references and animate them in Serif Draw Plus. I decided to do Wheatley from Portal2:

picture.php

reference on the right, and mine on the left.

I also do other things like cars, people, and lots of other things. So if you want yourself animated, PM me!
