Sorting 400Gb of backups is not fun.
I'm down to 140Gb after a slow day, but half of that is still unsorted mess of bulk dumps of source code, with a million repeats and almost-repeats.
First it was backup-a-hdd (oldsys-2003), then backup-a-project-folder (dozens of meshland-old, old-ml, vs-old-3, mland-prev-2, and so on), then backup-a-project-in-a-numbered-pack (ogla-080602), then then backup-a-project-in-a-numbered-pack-without-all-the-constant-files (ogla-src-100411, ogla-screenshots-2010), then GIT+previous.
Every time i look back, i think why the heck didn't i bother to do better before, and next year it's the same about this year...
The current active projects are at 11Gb, core backup of that fits in 126Mb.
But all the backlog of hardly sorted stuff is still there to be sorted.
On the good side, i hadn't had a data loss of noticeable magnitude since last century.
