What is the fast food dish of choice in Chattanooga?

Well, we are famous for these little Krystal Burgers (White Castle of the south).

Other things made here: the Little Debbie snack cakes are made locally. Moon Pies (don't like them myself), and Double Cola. Probably lots more, but those came to mind immediately.

Oh! Chattanooga Whiskey, not been open very long here. It's been made in Illionois or someplace, but we got the law changed and now it's made here. Not a great whiskey, but after 2 or 3 bottles it really doesn't matter.

In terms of sausage, we have the "Volkswagen Currywurst" here, which is still the most successful product by Volkswagen in total numbers. 7 Million sausages had been sold last year, all labelled as "VW original part". You also get it with VW branded curry ketchup.

Will you "pass emissions" if you eat one?

Sounds interesting, but I don't think you can get one in the U.S. without buying a Volkswagen. Sausage with a side of car.

Finally! An affordable ($500) Tesla!

Does it have a twinge of diesel taste? Maybe a bit more than is permitted by law? I want some. Mmmm....Volkswagon sausage....

You get a few more horses in these than you expect in sausages of the same class.

What's the range? If they made an adult sized version of this (single seat, head sticking out moon roof) I'd probably drive it to work. The full size is too pricey and has more seats than I need.

Funny thing is I remember that smell that the old VW Beetles had inside, my dad had two of them when I was little, a 60s Beetle and then a 73 Super Beetle. All old cars have a certain leather smell, but the old VWs have their own version.

And for some reason I'm imaging the VW sausage tastes kind of like that smell...weird.

Eewwwww.... luckily not. Not sure how a Beetle in the USA smelled like, but beetles had been pretty infamous for having many ways to let oil vapours enter the cabin.

Uhg, what the hell am I doing up at 9:30 on a sunday morning?

So, I may be moving to NYC soon. Gonna test for some public safety jobs(NYPD, FDNY).

I think i read that list in the context of RAF WW2 pilots and gremlin-hunters.
So it might be at least that old.

I've heard all those before; they are really funny but they definitely pre-date Fed Ex.

Besides, Fed Ex is an American company and Americans spell tire with an "i".

That's a WWII / Korean War vintage set of jokes with some updates through the years, translated from American into the Queen's English.

Still a classic though. Another favorite:

There were 5 people in an airplane; the world's smartest man, the worlds richest man, the pilot, an old man and a little boy. All the engines were on fire and the plane was plummeting towards the earth but there were only 4 parachutes. So they started to argue about who would get a chute.

The world's smartest man said, "I get a parachute because I have many more things to discover", and so he grabbed a chute and jumped.

Then the world's richest man said he had many more things to buy and so he jumped with a chute.

The pilot said that he had many more planes to fly and he also grabbed a chute and jumped.

Now there was only the old man and the little boy with only one parachute left. The old man said to the little boy, "You go. I've lived a long life and after everything I've done I'm ready to die." The little boy said "That's okay, we can both jump; the world's smartest man took my back pack."

Ah, yes...I heard another version of this some years ago...but I don't remember exactly how it went:P
