Just another dog-video with splitscreen, this time about the two dogs in the Korabl 3a vostok-capsule where it was tested, if animals can survive reentry. The mission failed, but the dogs survived:
I hope you enjoyed it!

 Nice work...it looks like my film with different background music.

Ah ... I didn't realize that guy copied your video. There's no mention of the source in his description.

Just to be clear, it wasn't my video. As I said in my post, I ran into it on youtube ... someone else's video. Someone who apparently borrowed from Tex without bothering to attribute him as the creator. Bad form.

:)

Once again, I will annoy. :) My sister says that I do not understand in the last tutorial on YouTube. Can you please take a look and tell me if you understand me???

Hi chobolatom,

I don't have time to watch the full video and give you a detailed review, but from the first minute or so I did watch I thought your English was pretty good and understandable. You also seemed to be covering the points of the align plane maneuver very well. :tiphat:

Ok, I spent entirely too much time on this video considering how relatively poor the landing is. :) The inspiration for this project was mainly the "DG to the moon" tutorial playback that comes with Orbiter. When I was learning Orbiter myself, I watched that playback all the way through at least a dozen times.

So I was interested in learning how to record, and how to work with the camera angles and add annotations. (It's very time consuming! The recorder editor has some very peculiar behavior that makes it very aggravating to use at times.)

I actually recorded this flight and did all the editor work 3 months ago. (So ... I'm better at landing now than I was then.) When I originally made this, I didn't have a way to make a video file out of it. Now I do, so I decided to put it on youtube.

I didn't intend for it to be a tutorial as much as I intended for it to be something like, "Watch what I did, and maybe you'll learn something by following along with my thought process."

Most people won't be interested in watching this. It's too boring. But for anyone who is still trying to get the hang of landing on the moon, you might pick up something worthwhile in watching this.

Anyone who does watch it should watch it full screen at 720, otherwise you won't be able to read the notes.

The main problem with this landing is that I slowed down too much and too soon. So I ended up using a lot of extra fuel due to all the additional time spent having to have the hover engines running.

Finally finished my first ORBITER 2010 feature film! Highly recommended you watch in full screen HD...
