Orbiter theme song?

I just wanted to show the style I would like.
Not just classic, a bitsome rock could be there, but not the Rock that is only noize.

Of all the proposals i like this one the most.

But there is one album that really expresses my emotions when looking down on Earth from LEO or flying through the void:

Mike Oldfield - The Songs of Distant Earth

AFAIK he composed this after reading Arthur C. Clarkes book of the same title.

I am still not sure: Is Mike Oldfield a genius, or just outright crazy and boring.

He can write extremely good and extremely bad songs at the same time, or ruin a great song by using his preferred arrangements, when the song is already shouting out how it wants to be heard.

Welp, I know what's going into my Orbiter playlist to replace the Sigur Ros I was getting sick of.

Thank you for this.

Yes:

if i guessed it had a theme song, i would think it has the default song that comes with orbiter sound. what is it? air on a g-string? before i figured out how to change the list, it was all i could hear anyways. also now i can't hear that song and not think of orbiter hahah

Theme song......

Nothing to say really.........:hail:

Wow, these are amazing, I never knew who composed the first one, but allready heard it in an episode of Space Night Earth Views and have it in my Orbiter playlist. Even when not believing in god, the "Let there be light" is just amazing, and I can't understand why some people complained about it after Apollo 8.

...or maybe we just let Martin chose the theme song...

I think Air on a G String is probably as good as anything for a theme song, is reflects the majesty of drifting through space, and it already has the association. Could do with a better recording, though; the default that comes with orbiter sound isn't exactly the best quality. ;)

you DO realise that that song is included with Orbiter sound, right?
