Orbiter Screenshot Thread

Welcome home Challenger !

[...]wing glove[...]
Wing glove? What exactly do you mean by that?
I don't recognize having heard that term before, so please enlighten us.

On a quick look, that Orbiter shown there pretty much looks like OV-099:
No meatball logo, no drag-chute container,..

...Ah! Now I see what "wing glove" could be! That black part on the upper wing side extending from the wings leading edge to almost midbody!
Hmm, yes, that's not how I remember OV-099

Yeah that's what he meant (I figured it out just seconds after I initially posted,...as usual  )
For reference, the "unique black areas on wings" on Columbia.

Ah yes, didn't realize that difference.
What's your Space Shuttle mod ? Is that ShuttleFleet ? If so, are you able to make it work with O2016 ? When I launch one, the Shuttle just fall to the ground right when I press NUMPAD(+). It doesn't stay attached for 3 seconds before release like in O2010.

Anyways, new post new screenshots :D
Here's Challenger deploying the default LDEF during STS-41-C on April 6th, 1984 !
Managed to get it at the correct altitudes: 138x291nm by 28.5° at launch.
(Is there another one with a better 3D model and textures ?)

For those who play Arma 3 should recognize the islands of Altis and Stratis above the left wing :)

Did some atmospheric flying for a change.

Flew the final Approach and Landing Free Flight of Enterprise and did a complementary fly over with SCA 905.

Then I looped back around and landed 905 on Rogers Dry Lake.

It's been a long time since I've done a landing in a traditional aircraft and I wanted to know if I could still do it properly.

Something I've been working on using pre-existing meshes and my some of my own textures: A Multistage2015 compatible Delta IV Heavy, including PSP and EFT-1.

I decided to redo the SCA flyover so I could better recreate this frame from the NASA film, "Go for SEP."

The flyover shown in the film is from Free Flight 4, but I still wanted to try to get something that resembled what's seen in the film.

Gave a try on NASSP, it's hardcore woaw ! I like it :)
My flightsim ego is pleased :p

I created a scenario where the LM was on the ground with the MicroTextures by Jarmonik installed. It's beautiful !

Thanks to all that make Orbiter such a great sim, the best space sim ever for me !
