This next one is a bit of a throwback. This is a simulation I did of Challenger on STS-61-F (the flight it was supposed to make after 51-L) about to launch Ulysses to Jupiter on a Centaur G-Prime. The shuttle is from Shuttle Fleet 4.8 and is reskinned with textures from SSU.

I created a new Moon texture derived from the Moon CGI kit. I always wanted a surface texture with the shadows only "created" by the terrain and actual local sun angle instead of having fixed shadows with a sun in the west for the whole globe. You can find it at orbithangar.

Neptune is quite intimidating... Jupiter is big and mighty but Neptune is such a cold and remote place... there's something scary despite the "familiar" blue color.

Great! A must have, although it should go one or two levels higher to completely replace the existing textures. But looks great from a distance, completely realistic!

@gamer19 : Sure, Ford could have done that... but you could also have tried better to re-create his scene, too ;) (no offence - just kidding)

Here's one showing the orbiter from ISS. Note the Zvezda solar array shadows on the orbiter as the orbiter is below the station at orbital noon.

And now that we're back on the +R BAR, sep burn#1 is executed using the +X RCS jets to depart the vicinity of the station:
