Just made my first trip to Saturn using the XR2. Took this shot of the dark side of Saturn in contrast with its bright rings

Hey Cras, really nice pic. :tiphat:

Is the sun texture an addon or did you use photo editing software?

Thanks! :tiphat:

I do use a sun addon that makes it much bigger than the default, but there is quite a bit of photoshop done to that pic.

Now that is what I am talkin' about.

Launch, close up, dynamic, and Space Shuttle. Perfect recipe for epic!

Nice

Nothing too wildly exciting yet, but heres what Ive got on my latest project, the Amalthea Capsule. Single seat, little to no life support, but it should make a nice little vessel for doing mercury style missions.

Please note the blue thing is a window that will be made transparent later....

Just beautiful:thumbup:
Saturn almost made me  the first time I saw her up close.
I'd really like to make another trip myself, when I can find the spare time. That is one planet that just no one could ever get tired of:love:

The brave UMMU test pilot standing next to his avro arrow craft after the first test flight out of KSC. Flight was takeoff, then a climb to the south reaching a maximum altitude of about 17km where elevator effectiveness was lost. The aircraft spun out of control and into a dive during which mach 1 was broken, before stabilising and gliding to an unpowered landing back at KSC. The pilot incredibly was able to survive in spite of missing the runway and my horrible atmospheric flight skills .

Coming up........ the first real launch of the year...... (report on O-F soon!)
