Orbiter Screenshot Thread

Arriving for the party at Brighton Beach!!

Nice shot mate! Did this get a "cool" blue filter applied to it after the fact?

I need to work on my Orbiter photography skillz to get them up to par!

Xyon: Cheers mate! I did indeed add a cool blue photo filter, as well as a subtle lens flare on the beacon light, and finally I sharpened the screen shot.

Two of my home made Orbiter-wallpapers (I "painted" the parameters out of the pictures :D ). First one is on Mare Infinitus (55 Cancri), and the second one is a look at the gas giant Tokarr (Eru System).

@Tex: your XR-2 photo looks awesome! Did you edited it? Because I want that high-res and that galactic CSphere also.
Er...you can get rid of the parameters (and the "Pause" text) by pressing "I" in-game, you know. :P
And that textured CSphere comes with Orbiter 2010P1, which everyone should start using because it's awesome. :hail::probe:
Nice pics BTW.

I have a strange problem of getting national anthems stuck in my head.
You haven't helped.

Darren
Same here.

Ko'olod baleivah, p'nimah...

Rassiya svechenaya nasha derzhava...

Oj svijetla majska zoro...

Oh Canada...

I should know the lyrics to the American anthem, but I don't :(

Maybe I should start a thread for this... or make a related screenshot involving lots of flags :D

another glowing DGIV, but the skin supports that impression better in this one.

this time I used chicken mode to reach a brighter (and thereby a bitsome more beautyful lookting) glowing without burn up:

That's the Vulture from the 1979 TV series Salvage 1. In the pilot, they went to Tranquility and salvaged the stuff the astronauts left behind.

You know, that picture looks almost as if there was terrain... which can't really be, because terrain doesn't get shadowed in Orbiter. Fancy after effects? or OGLA?

Recreating a bit of my childhood. "Earth, this is Salvage One. The Vulture has landed."

Awesome! Loved that movie when I was a kid!

Used to run around all the time with a toy Saturn V rocket saying "Rotate!"

I think it's the terrain mesh from AMSO. Notice that the shadows in the craters aren't in the right place.

That's because the whole thing is a hoax! ;)

Congrats, docking to the ISS is an important step in the learning of Orbiter !
