Discovery at Mir (STS-91):

Soyuz TM-27 takes up the forward docking port on Mir, Progress-M39 takes up the rear, this is the last visit of a space shuttle to Mir.

Is this an addon, that anyone would be interested in ?

I don't think the airlock can be re-used, so it wouldn't be very economical. I envisioned it being like the Apollo/Soyuz. Where the Dragon2 would pull away from the 2nd stage and turn around to dock with the airlock.

Yes.

And yes, such an airlock would make sense, since you would otherwise need to use the whole cabin as airlock. Still, if you plan an EVA, some more EVA tools might make sense there: Lights, platforms, tool holders and bags... etc.

Must not be a full shuttle payload bay, but if you want to access the equipment bays of HST, some way to get there and hold the tools near the astronauts would make sense. Maybe as simple as two-three L-shaped rods with clamps or rings to secure astronauts and tools.

That was the EVA conops for Gemini and Apollo. Depress the entire cabin and only repress once the EVA had ended. No harmful effects on either the crew or the equipment. Apollo 9 showed this was true for the LM (Schweickart testing the PLSS for the first time) and CM (Scott documenting Schweickart in the EMU from the open hatch of the CM). The three "J-missions" (15, 16 and 17) had the CMP perform an EVA during the Trans-Earth coast phase to retrieve data cassettes from the SIM bay of the SM and that required the CM to be depressed and the hatch opened.

How does the Hubble raise it's orbit now? It could bring fuel or compressed gas, or what ever.
I need a name, or a cool acronym for it.
