General Question Orbiter Planetary Atmosphere Calculations

How does Orbiter calculate the pressure of a planetary atmosphere at different altitudes without knowing its temperature? Temperature has a huge effect on atmospheres. For example, the scale height of an atmosphere will be twice as large if the temperature of the atmosphere is twice as high. I know that temperature can be defined by a module, but what does Orbiter do if there isn't one?
