Hi, I just got a new laptop a week ago and I downloaded orbiter, I ran it, it worked, but I can't get the ship to ignite the thrust. Note: I do not have a Numpad on my laptop.

If you press num lock, you should be able to use part of the keyboard as a number pad.

You might have to activate it using the function keys. On my Toshiba Satellite, I have to hit <Fn> <F9>, then a keypad embedded in the qwerty board becomes active (1 is J, 3 is L, etc..). Works fine, except when I forget to shut it off when sending emails later :)

From someone who uses Orbiter on his laptop, I'd recommend you get a USB keypad. The cheapest you can find should work, doesn't need to be fancy. I use one and it works quite well. I've made many a precision docking and burn with it.

Hi
I don't know if it will works even on your laptop, but I use this keymap with my laptop, try it...

Cheers from italy

I recommend using either a plug-in full keyboard or a plug-in keypad with USB. Fooling around with Fn key and the qwerty keyboard is a pain.
