Edit: The "Edit structures" window shows a higher Level (= higher resolution surface tiles) than the "Tile List Editor". Would it be possible to show the same surface tiles in "Edit structures" and "Tile List Editor"?
Can you expand on that? It's slightly ambiguous.

All the tiles that form the image should be the same resolution for both, so do you mean the "Edit structures" window has a larger picture? If that's what you mean, yeah that's possible but I can't promise anything.

Or do you mean the result of this:
Those windows render slightly differently.
-"Tile Editor" only displays the tiles for the selected level
-"Edit Structures" displays all tiles

If that's what you're talking about, there's a good chance the "tile editor" will render everything the same way the "edit structures" does now, or in a similar way.

This ist exactly what I mean. Currently, the Tile Editor shows only the standard low-res "tex" planetary texture (plus the ones that are downloaded), while "Edit structures" displays all tiles (ExxxWxxx.dds) that are associated with the base.

Latest progress:

Here's how it looks. Which is little different from version 1.1

When you remove a tile from a base, it disappears from the screen, but it is highlighted in blue. If you hover the mouse over the tile, you can still see a preview of it.

My reasoning is I want the "Tile Editor" to better show the user what his base tiles look like.

And to further that goal, there's an option of displaying all tiles vs "Only level X" tiles.

I'm also planning on putting check boxes for disabling the green/blue box rendering.

Anyone want to test Version 1.1.1?

Performance note if you've used other versions: it may take a few seconds to open up some existing bases in the tile/structure editors. OBM is converting the JPEG files into PNG.

"Edit Structures" now has ability to show/hide different objects. One can also "right-click" on an object to hide it (option appears in a menu).

Tile edit window now has more options for showing/hiding tiles based on level. Also has ability to "edit" tile in image editor.

If you want to use another editor, you can set it in the "Configuration" window:

I recommend gimp or Paint.NET. They've worked well in my testing. I haven't tested Photoshop yet, but I would imagine it works fine.

MS Paint won't handle transparency well.

Let me know of any issues, including if anything in the interface seems confusing.
