how did you get the Energy from kulch to widewak international in your video?

My computers (desktop and laptop. Both are having this issue) are both 2 ghz Semperon processor with 1 gig of ram. The video card is an NVidia Gforce FX 5500. I have no clue what video card is in the laptop as I just packed it away. I have a broadband internet connection that's pretty damn fast.
The video gets choppy when I play it on the site, even with the HD turned off. I downloaded the video, and my processor spikes when I try to play it using Quicktime or Windows Media Player. The only way I've been able to get it to play at all is when I linked it to my "Facebook" page and they squash the video size when you watch it on the posting wall. It was watchable there, but it was still choppy.
I'll give that video player you pointed out a go.

Nope. My processor is spiking trying to play the video with VLC as well.

I think the operating systems are quite messy in those computers or you're using VISTA or AERO Shell. Try to increase system performance by switching desktop theme to "classic Windows" and in My Computer->Preferences->Advanced->Performance click for set "for best performance" button - or somethink similar because I've got Polish version so I don't know how those tabs' names are in English version

I've watched it on AMD Duron 1200Mhz with 510MB Ram, and 32MB Geforce 2mx440 and it was smooth. I use WinXP with SP2, K-Lite Codec Pack and Media Player Classic. On Laptop (1,7Ghz, 512 Ram and ATI card it works right also)

Well but I clean my system every 2 weeks to work prefectly.

I have to do it when I'm not using the computer and it takes about 3-4 hours to render, so I'll either do it today while I'm out celebrating my birthday or tonight while I sleep. Sorry bout that, hopefully tomorrow I will have a link here for you to download it. I should have released it with the full HD version, but I thought I had solved the issue after various release canditiates.

That was actually a custom scenario, part of the Orbiter Forum Space Station package.

It must bother you that some people get paid high salaries for doing this sort of thing professionally, Tex, since this video is as professional as anything I've seen in the coprorate world or in a movie preview or wherever. The whole thing with the MFDs overlayed on the external camera, during the Spaceship 1 scene, for instance, was really amazing.

One of the problems with modern tech making it easier for more talented people to develop their skills is that it leads to a glut in the market for such talent. A great videographer 20 years ago didn't have to compete with the entire internet the way you do.

Looking at my machine, I have a seriously sinking feeling that this thing isn't going to be able to run the 2010 Orbiter when it's finished.

Blacklight: Let me know if this plays better. The bitrate is a little lower, but most importantly the difference between average and maximum bitrate values has been reduced which should improve playback performance.

VLC media player will play this file the best and is the media player I used to test it.

If only the wife would let me put some money into upgrading this computer or getting a new one. Hehe
The good news is that I just tried the latest Orbiter 2009 beta and it ran like a dream.

Might I suggest reducing the resolution to SD?
That should even an old PC handle. If you can watch DVDs, you will be able to watch this.

Malware warning!!!

That'll learn me to use IE for anything.:dynamite: I tried to download the file from the givem Megaupload link, and it didn't work in Firefox. It crashed immediately, then crashed again immediately when I did the usual firefox recovery thing. My copy of firefox crashes a lot anyway, so I decided to try it with IE, and was amazed at what the net looks like without adblock! I finally get to Megaupload, with its all accompanying flahsiness, wait 45 seconds, start the download, then get an obviously forged notice claiming to be a security warning. As it turns out, it was right, and I have spent the last hour learning all about the wonders of C2SYST[1].EXE . It's pretty bad news.

I don't know if it was Megaupload, one of its ads, or one of the other ads on another page. I certainly don't blame Tex. I am just telling what I know.

I doubt that it was from MegaUpload or one of their adds. It's possible that it could have come from there but the chances are more likely that you had the thing in your system previously.
I think that Firefox stability issue was Firefox's fault. I had the same problem with it crashing all the time lately too and so did a bunch of other people I know. The newer version here seems to be more stable.
