Sorry I haven't responded in a while. My computer's been...odd...lately, and applications more complex than Firefox tend to get screwy, so no Orbiter for me for a while.

As a result, obviously I can't test the Prelude base, but I'll take RC's and Dgat's word on it. Whether to use it or not, I'll leave it up to you. It doesn't matter much to me ATM.

Now to go reinstall DirectX...

Oof. :(
While you work that out, I guess we should decide if we're going to migrate to 2006p1? I'm not sure. I don't want to make the final decision, but I'm fine with switching. Any objections?

No objections, either way I'm good... In the meantime, don't we have a poor group of guys stuck in a DGIV in LMO?

I guess I'll start putting together a package for 2006, then.
IIRC, that's:

OrbiterSound
UCGO
DGIV
Older XR2 (Problematic; I have a backup of this on an external HD but I won't have it for 6 days and I think it's too big to attach here. If I remove the sounds, maybe...)
Wideawake International
L10 Mars
L10 "Phobo"
Prometheus Arrow skin
Epimetheus DGIV skin
OFMM flag cargo
Your choice of Landing MFD
Caffeinated drink
Probeinated Caffeine :hail::probe:

Older XR2 may be a problem, as we technically aren't supposed to have or distribute one. But, has anyone tested the current version with the older Orbiter? I'm still working out what's happened to my computer, so I can't right now...

Also, as I'm sure a few of you are, I'm going back to school in a little while. It probably won't be a problem, but just a heads-up that my assignments will take priority over this. :tiphat:

The current version of the XR fleet won't work with 2006-P1. It uses the VESSEL3 class which was not in 2006-P1.

Worst case, we end up using 2010 up until we begin constructing the base, and then copy the scenario over. Which is what we're set to do, anyway. We might also switch back to 2010 for a return mission with XR2.
I don't want to mess up anyone by distributing the old XR2, so hopefully we'll get a UCGO bugfix before G2.

This is getting confusing.

I'm not sure jumping around Orbiter versions is a good idea for that very reason. (Well, that and multiple installations of Orbiter with high-resolution textures can get just a wee bit bloated.)

I had a weird dream that someone posted on this thread that he had made a Spacecraft3 version of the Ravenstar. I'm very glad to see that this hasn't happened. :suicide:

SC3 Ravenstar? DO NOT WANT.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch...logo hasn't changed much, but as Izack's sig indicates, there WILL be a Generation 2 of OFMM lite...

Hey, while the base on Phobos is under construction, we still need to progress through the mission tiers. The Epimethius should be in low Mars orbit, right?

Yes, and I'm GLaD you say this, to keep us moving. :)

Unfortunately I don't think I can do the rendezvous the few coming days, not with my inconsistent beach connection...I would have to download 2006p1 and a bunch of addons on my laptop, and I won't get home until Tuesday...

Don't take the mission from me though, I will do it ASAP! :salute:

We interrupt this thread to annoy you and be generally irritating.

Hey Crab, what section of D.C. are you in normally? I was stationed at Patuxent River NAS for 8 years (back in the late 80's/early 90's). Just wondering, plus my wife mentioned the other day how much she misses being close to a Chi-Chi's.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread...

I thought the DGIV still needed to land on mars and do the flag-planting thing?

Aye. I'm not sure what 2006P1 is needed for...

Crab, the current mission outline hasn't changed. The speculation these last few pages applied to the next mission, not this one. We're still just waiting for Voyager.

Right. I was just thinking that these two missions would run concurrently instead consecutively.

I think it's safe to say now that Voyager is taking too long. I would like to reassign the mission to someone else, so any takers?

How goes it? Not at all. :p
Do you want it? My UMmu skillz are apparently lacking...and the Arrow kept floating away...and the pants were dead...

Are there any mission reports from previous missions? I don't even know what this mission is about.

Click Roster in Izack's sig (it's for quick reference). The current mission is #6; Voyager has been demoted to orbital debris for his insubordination, so we need a new pilot.

Mission reports are posted as we go along, but now that you mention it, it might be a good idea to add them to the roster. That would be Izack's decision. :tiphat:
