I've been working with an addon version of the Steven Baxter novel Voyage, an alternative history in which NASA does the unthinkable, pulls its finger out, and sends a manned mission to Mars in 1985-86, using upgraded Apollo technology.

Now it works to my satisfaction, but there are some problems with compatability. It seems to conflict with AMSO especially. This is probably because I don't have a clue about textures and meshesi, and I've borrowed some Saturn V pieces from them (I think). Apart from that it looks nice though, and it recreates the novel pretty faithfully.

I've had a lot of fun with it, and I'd like to share that with everyone.

What I need is for some kind soul to look through it and basically debug it, remove whatever conflicts it has with existing addons and make it presentable. This may involve renaming textures or meshes.

I also need to contact Andy McSorley to ask permission to use his meshes. I've tried PM and email but no luck so far. Can anyone get in touch with him, ask him to contact me?

Thanks to francisdrake for his help so far, he contributed his CEV-E mesh to be mutilated by me in order to produce the Ares-MEM. He also presented his MEM as another candidate but my mutant CEV seems to work fine.

Together we can put Natalie, Ralph and Phil on the Martian surface 22 years ago!

That's great news ! I hpoe Andy gets in touch with you soon. The Saturn Boosters are a logical choice for a Mars mission in that time frame. Heck, they're a logical choice for OUR timeframe !

Once you get permission, I'd be more than happy to sift the material for you. The easiest way is to put meshes and textures in their own specific folders though.

I'm not sure how to determine which specific textures go with which meshes

Meshes are text-viewable files, so if you open up the mesh file with a text viewer (like Notepad), and go down to the end, the names of the textures used are listed there.
