Project N1 Lunar

Maybe some hand-written or machine-typed notes in russian (like tables with reference orbital values) could look cool :)

Have re-done the BO external model, after endless reviewing of reference material, and help from Diogom, I've been able to decipher more details, added a lunar surface observation camera. Also made a preliminary cockpit with stand-in textures.

Huh....I didn't know the docking adapter for LOK is jettisonable. Nice!

That is the only way how the LOK could later "undock" from the LK after the latter returned from the moon. But I am not sure if really that much equipment was separated from the BO and not just the top part, that permanently attached to the honeycomb grid on top of the LK.

From what I've read/AFAIK not only the DOK but if neccessary the BO would also be jettisoned too before the TEI!
Losing the DOK certainly messes with the RCS but seems doable, currently running through the mission profile, will see how the TEI looks. Direct re-entry with a skip will be interesting!

I am not sure if three days are so much joy in a capsule, that is even more cramped than Gemini from the inside.... But yes, the original plan was really to discard everything that is no longer needed. Even the docking guidance electronics.

I get claustrophobie just working on the 3D model! I was sure the scale was wrong!
