Has anyone ever manually calculated trajectories for aerobrakes, rendevous, interplanetary transfers, etc. without MFD's to do it for you?(Calculators and velocity autopilots excluded) If so, how?

I calculate many simple maneuvers in advance with a simple pocket calculator, but anything more complex than that is IMHO better done with a MFD.
