OHM LaunchCEV

Hmm, downloaded and installed as per your instructions but get an (what I assume to be) error message:

TERNAME=OWNER-139E3C5A1

When I try to look up the MFD with the CTRL-F4 dialog, LaunchCEV isn't showing up, even though I've activated it in the Orbiter Launchpad.

Any ideas?

Cale

Can't help you with that error, haven't seen it. LaunchCEV has worked on the 4 computers I've tried it on here, all with Win XP, and I haven't heard of other installation issues. You might try a clean install (i.e., no other plujins). You did install FrancisDrake's CEV, as per the readme, right?

Yep..even with all other plugins disabled, it doesn't work (same message) and I can't locate LaunchCEV in CTRL-F4 dialog.

Am heading off to bed, but will try again tomorrow night.

Cheers,

Cale

Hey Mike,

Here's a copy of my Orbiter.log file:

For whatever reason, I couldn't copy and paste the above, but I know I got every line in the log file and just checked my spelling (My brain's a bit addled from being at Chuck E. Cheeses w/ my wife's class ) to make sure it's correct.

The one thing I noted from above is the deal with 6 devices being enumerated but only 5 accepted. Could this be the culprit? Just in case, could you email me a copy of the module itself? My email is [email protected]

Cheers,

Cale

Reading back on your posts, am not sure which of my plugins you're trying to install - LaunchCEV, or AFCS2p1. The former is at www.orbithangar.com, the latter is at the address I gave you before. Both have installation instructions included. In any case, your orbiter.log shows that neither were activated by Orbiter's Launchpad. Also, you indicated all other plugins were deactivated, but I see a slew of them in your list. I'd suggest you deactivate all other plugins (at least to troubleshoot), make sure you install whichever plugin you're trying to install as per instructions, ensure that it shows up in Launchpad in the list of active modules, and go from there. As I mentioned, if you're installing AFCS2p1, you'll have to tweak the base directories a bit, or use the .ini file workaround referenced in the installation instructions, as that module was written for a previous version of Orbiter. Or you could wait for the next version, which will work with the current version of Orbiter. Other than this, am at a bit of a loss for ideas to help...

Nope, AFCS2p1 works fine (though, as you mentioned, I did have to tweak the config settings) for me. LaunchCEV is the only one I'm having an issue with.

I did try later last night to get the scenarios to work, with only LaunchCEV activated in the Orbiter launchpad...still no joy. I'm at work now, so I can't post the log file until I get home tonight. It's weird how it doesn't even show up in the CTRL-F4 dialogue..maybe that's why I think that there could be an issue with the plugin module itself (at least, the one's I've downloaded off of Orbithangar).

You might also try re-loading the LaunchCEV package, as I've changed it since I first posted it...

The last time I downloaded it was Wednesday night. But will download again, and re-install per your suggestions.

Thanks,

Cale

Well I just downloaded it again, cleared all other Modules except LaunchCEV from the launchpad, with the same result..:(

Guess I may have to wait until the next version comes out...too bad.
