Seriously, go back and check for distortion in the printing of the images. Someone may have morphed an image.

Observations from my 'scope don't bear out what you are saying, and of course there is the absence of commentary from the professional astronomical circles.

And CNN is hardly a source worth quoting on just about ... anything. As bad as FoxNews.
