I saw STS-135 lift-off from port canaveral, my mission accomplished, I did see it!
Earlier in the week, I met M.Mullane, S. Durrance, made a couple of tours of KSC, seeing Shuttle stack from A/B camera stop.
The other day I came to experience NASCAR and Indy, on the same day - 2 rides on Disney speedway! Yeah, that was impressive - such G-forces in turns...
A day later I visited "Seaworld", not bad - "Shark encounter", "Shamu killer whale show".

Great to hear that you got to see it. I wish I could have made it.

Oh man, I wish I was there too...

I did watch it live through spacevidcast through (and NASA TV (And Google Earth ;) ) )...

It didn't help much that the presenters from spacevidcast kept saying stuff like "you can see it live on tv or the tubes, but you don't really know how it really is until you're here"

I mean, how terrible a thing to say is that, at the very last opportunity to see it?

Cheers
