I tried to connect but It said the server was outdated, can someone update the server?
Ooookay, this patch's award for Impatience goes to...
You're new so I'll give you a pass, but a couple explanations
First off, the "someone" is me. I'm the only person who has full access to do the more complicated administrative things on the server, like updating to new minecraft or plugin versions. I have a job, and I also tend to sleep for a few hours a day, so I can't respond instantly to requests. This is why it's "Hielor's Minecraft Server" - because I run it. :tiphat:
Secondly, as is always the case with minecraft patches (which you wouldn't know through no fault of your own since you've only been on the server for a few days), it will be a few days before the server is updated. The server runs with the Bukkit server software, and they take a while to update to new versions. I'll update to the beta release after it's available at
http://dl.bukkit.org. As always seems to be the case, they've released an update immediately before I'm going out of town for a few days, so I won't be able to update the server until Monday at the absolute earliest anyway (on that note, if the server explodes sometime between now and then, it's just going to have to stay down---sorry).
Thirdly, as for access to the 1.5 resource world. I was thinking a facility deep in the mountains somewhere, in which a rather more advanced version of our existing stargate was found/created, could possibly look better using my builder skills than some kind of spacecraft. (there will be blinking lights!) That said, if someone wants to spend the next few days building some kind of awesome spacecraft to use for it, we can use that instead. My only requirements would be that it doesn't have an interior (just a couple blocks inset into it where the portal would be, so you step inside and poof) and that it's either fairly far away from where anyone has already set up a permanent home--I don't want some people having easy access while everyone else has to trek halfway across the map--or easily accessible to everyone, such as near spawn.
