Thanks for the clarification, I appreciate it. I understand the problem and I might have an idea who the problem is..

Anyway, I have changed my email and password (just to be sure) , could my account be white listed again please?

Thanks!

The creeper Udir Vesh charges at KuatYards!
KuatYards strikes the creeper in the upper torso with his -Wooden Pickaxe-, denting the creeper's crunchy exterior!
The creeper collides with KuatYards!
The creeper explodes!
The creeper has been struck down.
KuatYards has died in an explosion.

I tried to connect but It said the server was outdated, can someone update the server?
In short: Bukkit takes eons to update to newer versions, along with plugins etc. It'll get updated sometime before HL3. You'll need to roll back to 1.4.7

Why did you already update your client to 1.5? Didn't you know that non-local servers aren't automagically updated at the same moment (in this case an hour ago, or so) when a new version of Minecraft comes out for distribution in the launcher?

By the way, Minecraft 1.5.1 pre-release will be released soon (tomorrow), so I'd wait with the server update at least until Mojang will stabilize the 1.5 branch a little more.

ShootingIron, if you are reading this, these links might prove useful

I haven't found the one I referred to yet but at least these should work

Ooookay, this patch's award for Impatience goes to...

You're new so I'll give you a pass, but a couple explanations :)

First off, the "someone" is me. I'm the only person who has full access to do the more complicated administrative things on the server, like updating to new minecraft or plugin versions. I have a job, and I also tend to sleep for a few hours a day, so I can't respond instantly to requests. This is why it's "Hielor's Minecraft Server" - because I run it. :tiphat:

Secondly, as is always the case with minecraft patches (which you wouldn't know through no fault of your own since you've only been on the server for a few days), it will be a few days before the server is updated. The server runs with the Bukkit server software, and they take a while to update to new versions. I'll update to the beta release after it's available at http://dl.bukkit.org. As always seems to be the case, they've released an update immediately before I'm going out of town for a few days, so I won't be able to update the server until Monday at the absolute earliest anyway (on that note, if the server explodes sometime between now and then, it's just going to have to stay down---sorry).

Thirdly, as for access to the 1.5 resource world. I was thinking a facility deep in the mountains somewhere, in which a rather more advanced version of our existing stargate was found/created, could possibly look better using my builder skills than some kind of spacecraft. (there will be blinking lights!) That said, if someone wants to spend the next few days building some kind of awesome spacecraft to use for it, we can use that instead. My only requirements would be that it doesn't have an interior (just a couple blocks inset into it where the portal would be, so you step inside and poof) and that it's either fairly far away from where anyone has already set up a permanent home--I don't want some people having easy access while everyone else has to trek halfway across the map--or easily accessible to everyone, such as near spawn.

How deep does the spawn go? It would be pretty neat to have a spiral staircase (and/or nether portal link for the lazy?) down to Bedrock with a tunnel; using the blinking lights and teleport as soon as you traverse the Tunnel.
If you like, I can start digging somewhere?

Possibly going down from the lowest level of the Commune. Or extending out from the basement of the Leeuwenhoek, provided Eccentrus agreed.

Not sure what you mean--multiverse portals aren't limited to specific locations the way nether portals are. You can set any portal to link to any other, regardless of location.

I actually had something a bit more interesting than that (in my not-so-humble opinion ) planned for the underground version :) Thanks though...

My idea for the resource world gate/portal
picture.php

The idea is to make two identical structures so when you pass though you it seems as though you have gone no where, but you have gone from one world to the next.

If the trigger is placed between the obsidian.

I would build a small outpost off one of the corridors.

you would still notice that you went to another world by the loading screen

btw, as always, especially for the curious ones, the development for the 1.5 bukkit can be monitored here

I spent the last days building a mob farm, mainly for farming gunpowder but also string, bones and arrows. It is located north of the Iron Farm in the ocean. A walkway to the nether portal branches off at the Iron Farm Transit station in the Nether.

So far the spawner has 3 floors but i'm already quite satisfied with the droprate, should be a bit over 3000 items per hour from my short tests yesterday.

Unfortunately the server wide mob cap in multiplayer significantly lowers the spawning rate when other players are somewhere else in the overworld where spawnable areas are near them but i don't see how to circumvent this.

Still it should be a nice addition to the server i hope.

I'd still wait until they will start developing CraftBukkit for Minecraft 1.5.1 version (or newer, if Mojang intends to release new bug patches for Minecraft every week again). :p

well yes, it can fool us as if we haven't went anywhere, and the less sharp of us would complain, "hey is the thing broken?"

Should be fun to watch

I find that idea much more appealing over ground.
Think Aliens vs. Predator pyramid.
