Problem halo pelican

Because apparently this thing is like 10x the size it should be. Hope this helps:

Yeah. I don't play Halo so I didn't know.
 
I didn't think that they would actually give me info on the spacecraft. Oh well, I got it now so thats that.

I scaled it down. I know that it might not be perfect, but it is way more accurate than last time.

Its now animated. If any of you guys know more about the Pelican please tell. What else animates and such.
 
This mesh looks like the Halo 1 Pelican. This page has exact dimensions (edit: same as above picture, which is from this page), but the mass is not specified. Jamer123 probably meant Google 3D Warehouse, but a search for Pelican shows many different Pelican meshes. Which one is this one?

Edit: I always wanted to fly the Pelican in Halo, now I can do it in orbiter!

Here is my door coordiantes. I cannot get it to rotate up like a sweeping motion.

Sorry for not providing enough information. I was in a tush. Anyway, what I meant was that I could not get the door to pivot on its axis. It would always act in a sweep motion then go up. Does it have anything to do with the ROT_PNT? What is the best and easiest way to find the ROT_PNT?

EDIT: I used MeshWizard and used the coordinates of the vertex of the door. It works now.

Does anyone have pictures of the cockpit. I am planning to make a VC, but I haven't found any pictures.
 
I can't seem to get this addon to work, Orbiter keeps crashing every time. I did a straight unzip first but didnt work, then tried to put the files in the correct folders individually, but still crashed. The log said this:
Finished initialising world
>>> ERROR: No vessel class configuration file found for:

I'm a newb to installing addons, however I have installed a couple previously without any hitch. Help would be appreciated.
 
I didn't find pictures of the cockpit, but this page has info from the Prima Official Halo Strategy Guide, and it gives the mass as 18000kg.

Edit: Actually, the Halo 1 Pelican's cockpit isn't very detailed at all, but the Halo 2 pelican is the same model, but more detailed. Here's one picture, but not from a good angle.

That will do. I'll just set some overhead MFDs and two chairs with he sticks. THanks. If anyone would like to help that would be appreciated.
 
It'd be pretty unlikely to find a cockpit pic. If you want a VC, just get creative. However, you ARE likely to find pics of the troop bay. ;) (including taking pics of your own model :P)
 
Yeah. I saw one picture where it had a upper and lower deck. For now I'll just have one deck. Then I'll put two overhead MFDs and two sticks. Hopefully it will turn out good.

For now the VC is a static one. I am almost done so there is a chance of release today.

I have added the static VC and changed the colours around. The reason I changed the colors is because I lost the An8. materials and couldn't recover them. So I went and used black. THe VC is real basic. I used one whole mesh instead of making the VC and the ship separate.

Its a little bit better now. It has two control sticks added to it. The controls are.....

Cabin Door= Lshift+5

Main Door= 6

Canopy= Lshift+2

The ailerons and elevators move by pitching up or down.

This month it will be going through huge amounts of reconstruction. Primarily the cockpit. Hopefully with these it wil help and maybe get some help along the way.
