Found one minor issue; the grappling point direction is backwards when grappling with the SSRMS on the ISS Fleet. In the "Config\Spacecraft\JAXA" directory, find the "HTV.ini" file and under the "[CHILD_ATTACH_0]" heading, change the DIR line to read:

DIR=(0.973281,0.229614,0.00109337)

This will correct the alignment of the grapple fixture.

Outstanding work Don, very nicely done!

Just verified, the "HTVpayload.ini" file has the correct setting.

Thanks Andysim !

And Thanks Dave for the heads up, I'll fix it.

Attached is an updated launch guidance file; launch should occur at 17:01:45 UTC (start the program using "p" at 17:01:35). The heading should be be corrected now for insertion, the thrust cut-off is still questionable...

Not sure if this was addressed, but when you dock the HTV to the ISSV3, it docks completely backwards. Here's a screen shot.

It doesn't dock with the ISSv3, it attaches to Harmony.

Beautiful !
Simply beautiful !
I'd love to see what you could do with the island of Okinawa. The city of Naha ( on the southern tip ) has an international airport and would make an excellent launch site.

This mod is really beautiful. Thank you Donamy!:thumbup:

I have a few questions to ask:

Is STS-128 pack no longer available? I searched for it but I couldn't find it anywhere.

It seems that the camera is placed inside of HTV. Did I screw up something? I can still dock with ISS using Docking MFD but this is somewhat annoying to me.

Actually, the HTV isn't set up for a VC view. You can move the camera view forward, in the SC3 ini. I don't know if I ever made a STS-128 pak. Maybe David413 made one for the Fleet.

BTW, thanks for the support.

I'm surprised nobody has brought this up - this is a section from the HTV's spacecraft3 configuration file located in */config/spacecraft/JAXA/HTV.ini:

Code:
[CONFIG]
MESHNAME="JAXA/HTV"
SIZE=6
EMPTY_MASS=500
FUEL_MASS=300
[B]RETRO_THRUST=500[/B]
ATTITUDE_THRUST=85
ISP=50000
TRIM=0.05
PMI=(15.5,22.1,7.7)
CW_Z_POS=0.09
CW_Z_NEG=0.09
CW_X=2.
CW_Y=1.4
CROSS_SECTION=(53.0,186.9,25.9)
COG=1.47
PITCH_MOMENT_SCALE=0.00004
BANK_MOMENT_SCALE=0.00004
ROT_DRAG=(1.5,2.3,0.3)
LAND_PT1=(0,-1.57,4)
LAND_PT2=(-4,-1.93,-5)
LAND_PT3=(4,-1.93,-5)
CAMERA=(-0.40,0.69,0.75)
VISIBLE=1

There is no MAIN_THRUST parameter. This means that when you press [Numpad+], the exhaust shows up, but there is zero thrust.

It can be easily fixed by changing the RETRO_THRUST to MAIN_THRUST (because the HTV does not have retro thrusters that are not the RCS/attitude thrusters), and 500 to 2000 (because of the 4 x 500 N thrusters), but why was it released like that?

:facepalm:
I'm surprised too.

Thank you Donamy, and Pipcard!

I also recognized main thruster problem. I thought I must have failed to install the mod as there are HTV3 and HTV4 mods and no one was complaining.

It seems David413 removed his STS-128 pack. “HTV attatched to Harmony for FLEET” scenario is no longer playable because of this but I could still launch HTV and dock with stock ISS.

It is always fun to play with one of the most popular spacecraft in my country. I'm really grateful to Donamy for making this mod. :thankyou:

Looks way better berthed to the ISS AtoZ (IMHO). And you can berth it with the SSRMS.

Enjoyed it too, the credits and references are useful.

That was great ! You may want to get the Canadarm2 addon. I works more realistically.
