Sometimes you people make me sick.
Seriously.
Just because the victims live in public housing suddenly this is because of welfare?
Didn't you read the article?
This isn't about wealth or money or welfare. It has nothing to do with the "socio-economic standing" of anyone. We don't even know the "socio-economic" standing of the shooter - do we. All it says is that he is the nephew of the Mayor. There is no reason to believe that he is a poor welfare recipient - he is more likely from a middle-class background. He could be wealthy - we just don't know.
What we do know is that there was a custody battle, and that killings like this are sadly not that uncommon under those circumstances. We also know (at least those of us who bothered to check crime rate statistics) that this kind of crime knows no social or economic barriers. It happens in all kinds of neighborhoods, from the ghetto's right on up to Mansion Row.
But no - just go on hating people because they are poor. That'll help.
