oh ok i'll have to remember that. thank you sir. but as far as challenger goes it exploeded 73 seconds after lift off sir.

yes sir it was on the saturn v. BUT it still sufferd an engine failure.

ok. sorry sir. :tiphat: my apologies.

There is a famous real example of a underspeed MECO caused by a leak in the hydrogen system. Was a pretty dangerous situation, since it caught the people on surprise and could have resulted in an engine explosion if it happened earlier (before the engines had already been throttled down to 69% thrust).
The mission you're talking about is STS-93. Was nozzle leak that occurred right at main engine ignition as a LOX post-pin impacted three of the 1080 nozzle coolant tubes causing a H2 leak all the way to MECO.

MECO was LLCO-commanded when all four LOX LLCO-sensors went DRY causing a 15 fps underspeed.

Thank you, that was the mission number I had forgotten already.

i don't really have a problem any more. the only thing is im not flying on orbiter enough to get good at trying to get to the internationl space station. dang gone life keeps getting in the way of space play time.

welli finally made it into orbit. but i don't have a very good one for catching up too the iss. i tried cutting the thrust at 150 km. but that didn't work so now i want to see if i can fix this orbit. if i can't get the deltglider to the space station i'll go back to space shuttle atlantis.

You are only JUST in orbit. Your PEA is too low for orbit and your APA too high for the ISS

To get the space space you need need to have a 250 x 250 or so orbit to start with. The delta glider does have the delta-V to adjust the orbit so I'd recommend that you try to tune the existing orbit. Also, Don't do everything on full power.
The main engines of the delta-glider can be throttled so you'll find you can fine tune the orbit nicely like that.

Edit - One thing you can do which might make it easier. Use IMFD's circ orbit programme to put you into a circular orbit around the 250km mark. It'll help with your orbit adjust manoeuvres.

yeah i tried that and got the same result. burned up. so insted of messing around with this joke for a space craft. im going back to the atlantis. it's easyer to control and get into orbit with

Tried WHAT exactly? I gave you two suggestions. Did you try both? One? neither?

The delta-glider is a very easy vessel to get into orbit. Yes, it is overpowered so it's easy to overshoot but you will get better at it with practice.

If you think that Atlantis will be easier to control and fly into orbit then good luck to you because you'll be back here in a few days starting the whole cycle again.

i tried both suggestions. i treid throttleing up/down and got the same thing it blows right past and orbit. i either get a huge egg shaped orbit or i get nothing at all. i thought practiceing this would be better then going right to the space shuttle. but it's starting to annoy me now.

yeah i noticed that but i was at 250. and the deltaglider desides to do what ever it wants to do and just kepty right on going no matter what i tried to to. i even tried rotateing 180 degrees to fix my orbit. nope. not happining. deltaglider just goes stupid and went even higher.:beathead:

I think you have some sort of hardware problem...bad pots on your throttle/whatever...
DG is not a "joke of a space craft" and doesn't "decide doing things".

i tried both suggestions.

So the IMFD orbital circ programme didn't work?

did you try burning retrograde at the low point of your orbit? If you burn retrograde at the high point you'll have problems. just ROTATING won't help. You need to know what prograde and retrograde mean. The delta-glider does what you tell it. It does not decide to do it's own thing.

There are a few hundred people here, including myself, who have flown the delta-glider into orbit and haven't had these problems. So is the problem with the delta-glider or with you?

I am so much completely out of here.
It is not like we didn't try to help.
I just don't know what more we can do for him.

yeah i tried prograde and the+normal button and it din't do any thing. so if this simulation is going to be nothing but a pain in the rear end. i think it's time it left my computers.

Why did you fly prograde? Why +Normal? what do either of those have to do with lowering your orbit?

It appears that you didn't try either of my suggestions of flying RETROGRADE AT THE LOW POINT OF YOUR ORBIT or using IMFD.

Prograde/retrograde and Normal+/- only change the attitude of your vessel. You still need to fire the main engines yourself.

I DID TRY THEM it clearly states in the ORBITER HELP!!!! menue to do this.
