Carlos Reutemann: Former Formula One driver dies, aged 79

Carlos Reutemann, a leading Formula 1 driver in the 1970s and 1980s and later a senior politician in Argentina for three decades, has died aged 79.

17 years later I started work at Teddington, ABC Television had gone, but some of those folk remained

The Dutch GP in Zandvoort is coming up in a few weeks.

I still think there's a serious chance we will see a dual or maybe even a triple Spitfire fly-by. Max Verstappens sponsor, Frits van Eerd, has bought and restored three Spitfires. A Mk.I, a dual seat Mk.IX and a Mk.XVI. The operation was done quite secretive. So I think Zandvoort is the perfect opportunity to show these Spitfire's off. The Dutch Airforce, which has a role in the acquisition, already announced they will do something special.

Watching cars go around there is so much more enjoyable than the usual tracks, even if the race is more of the same.
