I'm looking up for a friend the possible color coding system that they use on Space suits

Case in point Niel Armstrong had red strips on his suit indicating that he was the commander of Apollo 11.

I looked on Google and I could only find a few articles(Mainly conspiracy sites saying her wore red because he was secretly KGB) and was hoping to find the colors and patterns they used for flight status and ranks for A7L and other more contemporary EVA suits. Russian and America(Preferably American) and other nations as its sort of peaked my curiosity how they choose the patterns and colors.

Just to be clear the stripes and patterns. Not White suits vs Orange. I know why they do that Sillies :P

I know that they also had different colour fasteners around the wrists/helmet. I assumed they were just there to make sure that Neil didn't put Buzz's gloves on etc.

Current EVA's use a red strip to designate one astronaunt from another. EV1 has the red strip EV2 is plain.

I assume they use red as it stands out more in the harsh lighting conditions of space.

I found a document from NASA that calls out the color code.
What color
Where its worn
How many

I also recall it doesn't matter in an emergency situation, something about they all have to come inside during an emergency, and help sort out the injuries, damage, or whatever.

I'll be digging up my reference and amending this post. Stand By!

The Russian "Orlan" spacesuits have always used red stripes or blue stripes, don't know the reasoning behind these colors, though!

Seriously? Who comes up with this stuff?

I mean, Moon Hoax I can understand. Aliens on the Moon... I can kinda understand. But "Astronaut Neil Armstrong was secretly a member of the KGB" is just... just...

Let's say it's odd...

Red for odd production number, blue for even.
