On the 11th of December, it will be the 40th anniversary of the final Apollo Lunar mission's landing, and by extension, the final manned Lunar mission as of now. I've got to say, I'm a little ashamed to have forgotten about it until now though...:facepalm:

 
A fitting tribute that the folks at Golden Spike chose this date to announce their audacious goals.

The Apollo program will stand for all eternity as a milestone in mankind's evolution on Planet Earth.
 
I didn't forget, I just didn't post here. But my happy anniversary goes out to Gene, Jack and the rest of the entire program for making this possible. And RIP to Ron Evans. He will be missed.
