News 6 yr old boy trapped inside Balloon!

That kid is probably getting the crap beaten out of him right now...

The GUY needs a dummy slap, for leaving a loaded balloon around unsupervised.

When I was watching this on the morning news over here, looking at that balloon meandering around, I couldn't help but imagine Mission Control chatter, an exhaust plume, and a six-year-old boy saying something about 1202 program alarms...

Ok, who's going to do the 'boy in the balloon addon?' Someone can mesh up a 6 yr old for UMMU and we can practice falling/jumping out at various altitudes!

This story has become the center of scrutiny after an interview on CNN where the kid says "For the show"

http://www.9news.com/news/article.aspx?storyid=125161&catid=339

Heene was asked about the possibility it was a hoax because of what his 6-year-old son, Falcon, had said earlier during a CNN interview. In the interview, when Falcon was asked why he didn't come out when he heard his parents calling for him, he said he was because it was "for the show."

Frankly now that I know that the father was very aggressive with 2 news organizations asking about it. I am starting to seriously question the "story" of the events. The media can be bad but the outright hostility towards them does not help his case. Being aggressive may held them off for a day but not any more than that. The next time he gets an interview on CNN they wont ask Falcon to join for the main questions in my opinion.

Reminds me on Bart pretending to be Timmy O'Toole in the well...

Next time when the boy really gets into a balloon and flies away, nobody is going to help him ;)

Yeah, not long after starting this post I started thinking that something fishy was up. I mean honestly, would it really take that long to find a six yr old... and now the "for the show" comment, plus these people were already involved with a 'reality' show before, so I'm guessing anyone involved with a 'reality' show are attention freaks to begin with, so my money's on it being a hoax / publicity stunt.

I can see how an attic can be confused for a small hot air balloon.

...Actually, I can't.

I can almost bet that there will be a book written about this soon, and to top it off quite a few people would buy it.

I read the article again and I still can't believe it. Who names their kid Falcon?????

Oh, and the fact that the dad left a hot air balloon laying around and the kid was hiding in the attic and all.

This is quickly starting to sound like a stupid stunt to get themselves back on TV again.

They did... and it was the boy who spilled the beans during an interview, he said, and I quote "We did it for the TV show". At that point, the two other boy's eyes got as big as saucers and they looked at their mother. I'm pretty much convinced it was a publicity stunt. Too bad for them too, because if they're found guilty of the hoax, they're in quite a bit of trouble both legally and financially.

Apparenty they may be facing charges now too.

Only a class 3 misdemeanor. Should have been worse, at least pay for the expenses from everyone involved.
