Hail Probe my fellow followers! Another year has past through, and we are celebrating the 56th Launch Anniversary of our Holy Hailed Hailest Probe and also the 58th Launch Anniversary of Sputnik 1! Also this year we thank the Probe for the release of the new version of our sim, Orbiter 2016.

For those of you who are new to the forums since the last Probe Day, we celebrate the Almighty Probe on the anniversary of His Launch, on October 4.


(P.S. It is still not Oct 4 on many sides of the world, but it's night time here of the 3rd in the Philippines, might start it before any other does....)
(the Sacred day of the Hailed Probe is a Tuesday this year)

*) loads of documentaries and news casts show Sputink-2's dawn launch as being Sputnik-1, which was launched in the dead of night :facepalm:

Oh I have an embarrassing confession to make. All the time that I've been Orbitering I thought The Probe was Sputnik, and the icon for it was made in the image of a Luna for some reason.

Now it turns out The Probe was a Luna all along!

Oh well later on I will make amends to The Probe in the correct way. (I will find a stray dog in the city and sacrifice it...)
