Hamilton penalised 10 second stop in pits for driving through when shut.

Weird race. Unsettling. What caused Valteri's fault? What about the two Renault failures (Ocon and Norris) or how Max couldn't stay with either Silver Arrow? BTW, did you see the bodywork on fire in Norris' car! Really classy touch by the Schumacher family. And oh, what about the commentary in the pre race show (for those of you who watch on Comcast here in the States or in Europe on Sky TV) where the commentators (Brundle and Rosberg) said (with respect to Sebastian Vettel) F1 isn't a finishing school or a rehabilitation center, suggesting Aston Martin should worry that Seb's issue is not just a loss of mojo!

Unfortunately I stopped after lap 12 so missed the more exciting bits!
Presenting the helmet to Hamilton was a really nice gesture.

Indeed. With all the talk this weekend about Mick, it made Michael's absence profoundly felt. Also surprised at the DNF's. Norris had a new power unit too. Danny Ric didn't do a Shoey:sneaky: but Abiteboul's getting a tattoo:ROFLMAO:

What an exciting and surprisingly clean start. Who'd have thought you'd see a McLaren outrun two Mercedes! And what about that Perez-Ocon duel! Great fights up and down the grid. Great race at an exciting track!

Notebook, did you watch? I miss your post! For the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola, the expected 3 swapped order. Hamilton, Bottas, Verstappen. Excitement ensued! Mercedes wins the Constructors title for a record setting, 7th time! Posit this, if the proposed 2021 power-unit freeze actually occurrs, we may see some permutation of these three names at the top of the grid until 2022 or beyond!

Thanks notebook! Since it was a weekend off, we took a socially distanced roadtrip.
As for Seb??? Think back to Seb and Danny Ric at Red Bull. Danny was able to get more out of that car than Seb did. Seb was pissed but he got elevated to Ferrari (deservedly since at that point he was a 4-time champion). Seb was semi-successful but didn't exactly make it rain championships on Maranello. Admittedly, the factory hasn't always given Seb the best tools to work with but Seb began having a rash of unforced errors. Check this out o_O https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/comments/d2wnop Once LeClerc joins the team, Charles gets more out of the car than Seb (like Danny Ric did years earlier) and Seb seems lost. It seems to me, an elite driver uses his (or her) skill to extract the most from a car to meet the demands of the track's conditions. The way Seb's driving, he can't find the key to unlocking this car's potential (limited as it may be). If I was Racing Point (or Aston Martin) I'd be really worried.
