2014 World Cup

Uhm... I think the answer to that is "no"?
There has to be a finite number of goals that they can score and I hope they have hit that number and that when the play het oranje (who will be Leo 'water into wine' Messi) they are incapable of scoring more.

The match of Brazil v. Germany is simply undescridable, I hereby calls it "The Rape of Belo Horizonte". It wasn't even qualified to be called a match even, most of the time, most prominently in the dreaded 6 minutes, the Brazillian team might as well be replaced with dummies, I was at a loss of words until the end of the match.

Germany used up all of their goals for this tournament. Right?

Whoever wins today has some history with Germany. The rivalry with the Dutch is the most important one in international football for Germany, more so than England or France.

And Germany played Argentina in the finals of '86 and '90, each won one title. And the German team humiliated the Argentines four years ago in South Africa.

I think both possible finals have quite an emotional background that should motivate everyone to score their goals.
And Germany's previous titles were a 3-2, 2-1 and 1-0. I don't think they need more than one goal to win the title.

I have slightly more faith in the Oranje to convert chances into goals and to sweep away the ball at the back than the Argentines, so my prediction is a 2:1 win for the Orange Army! ;)

Okay, folks, place your bets now!

Who goes home with the big prize, Germany or Argentina?

I've been watching the Netherlands football team for as long as I can remember and I'm proud to call myself a Dutchman today. They gave it their best and got a lot deeper in this tournament than they had any right to. There is a lot of good younger players on the squad and I think they can go even deeper in Russia next time.

I'll be rooting for Argentina in the final. Losing to the ultimate winner is great, but seeing Germany lose is better!

Chauvinist Mode ON

The world cup is going to win without doubt Germany. The victory over Brazil has been great, and the team of Argentina, according to many specialists in football is not very well organized.

Meanwhile in the National Congress:uhh:.

After some calculations from my home's supercomputer, the most probable prediction is that Germany 2:1 Argentina. ;)

The joys of watching over the Internet:
