Hi Guys,
Please also test with the following modules set:
http://www.acsoft.ch/tmp/Test2-Modules.zip
With this set, guilty preloading is just moved elsewhere into the code of the main Apollo vessel module. It seem to also solve the CTD problem. Again, don't ask me why !!!
This is a better...
Hello everybody,
My idea was to remove the animation code of the LRV vessel module, to see if the crash come from this complex part. But, after I started doing this for a while, I finally decided to renounce, because of the complexity and the interweaving of this code inside the rest of the...
OK, now we know that you get the CTD just with the LRV vessel.
Try the following:
Edit my scenario and remove just the LRV vessel in the "SHIPS" section
it is the following part, located at the end of the list:
AS-511_Lunar_Rover:AMSO\Lunar_Rover
STATUS Landed Moon
...
RADCOCMD 0
END...
Hi Mantis,
Please follow the judicious advise of tblaxland and deactivate all the plugin modules, except OrbiterSound. This will eliminate a lot of potential reasons for the crash.
I would like you also try the "post-deployment" scenario published in my previous message (copy the contain of...
Unfortunately, I am not able to reproduce the case here.
Anyway, let's do some investigations, to see if we can isolate the problem. Here included is a "post-deployment scenario", I would like you try.
Situation was saved just after the whole LRV deployement of AMSO scenario...
Yes, this is correct.
With Orbiter 2006-P1, it was possible to switch from virtual cockpit to 2d cockpit WITHOUT TO LOOSE THE CAMERA POSITION set in 3d cockpit. This is why, at that time, I made the locking function to work also in the 2d cockpit.
Now, in Orbiter 2010, 2d cockpit DO NOT KEEP...
Run the following AMSO scenario with Orbiter 2010 + an UNPATCHED version of AMSO 1.19:
BEGIN_DESC
SetCameraDefaultDirection() problem test.
As soon as the scenario is started, use right mouse button to look the most downward you can (LM window bottom on the bottom of the screen).
END_DESC...
No, not at all.
This 1st post Orbiter 2010 beta just gave the opportunity to restore the normal AMSO camera behavior (lock in direction of landing site), during program P64 (approach), with the precious help of Martin.
But this adaptation of my camera code, to the new Orbiter camera code...
Do-you run AMSO 1.19 with Orbiter 2010 or with Orbiter 2006-P1 ?
If it is with Orbiter 2006, it quite natural that you won't see any difference. The problem exist only with Orbiter 2010. But in this case, read also carefully the following answer to Kendo. You are concerned.
This patch is for...
Hello,
The Patch P1 for AMSO 1.19 is available on my site: http://www.acsoft.ch/AMSO/amso.html
The patch correct the problem during the approach phase of the LM (program P64, where it is possible to change the landing coordinates). With this patch, the camera lock again in the direction of...
Numpad-ENTER will lock AND UNLOCK (it is a toggle function).
Of course, the astronauts you want to lock (or unlock) must have the focus.
Lock/unlock function allow you, for example, the following:
Let your astronaut #1 walk in the desired direction and lock. Now switch the focus to...
Interesting !
Maybe you don't get the BSOD, because of a different OS than me. Personnaly, I am still "scotched" with my good old Windows XP SP3, but I will probably go to Windows 7 this Autumn.
So, no BSOD, but instead a CTD, correct ?
ACS
Yes, playing with AA setting and even other 3D setting's, affect the behaviors of this problem, but, unfortunately, I didn't found until yet any combinations of settings which really solve it, except to avoid using full screen mode.
jambooger, can-you test the following on your system ?
Run...
I am in the same situation (first time I use an ATI. Mine is a 4870 with very last driver 10.3) and I have the same problem.
From what I have seen so far, this flicker depend a lot on "vertical syncho" and "frame rate". For example, with AMSO "Apollo 11 step 1" scenario, which is quite "heavy"...
Location of base "Marius Hills" (AS-513) and "Copernicus" (AS-514) are defined in AMSO, but actually just use a generic flat scenery. A realistic scenery was planed for both locations, but still not produced now.
Yes, to build a new scenario, you should use a copy of "Apollo 17" launch...
!!! ATTENTION !!!
If you have downloaded this package BEFORE the date of this message. please download it again and reinstall it. The first package I builded had big errors (duplicated files).
