I think it's called a "motion mixer"
I've seen similar things called by that name in helicopter schematics, not sure if the term is universal across other engineering fields though.
edit:
A bit of google-fu later, and I've found it mentioned by the name of "Bell-Hiller Mixing Lever":
This...
You're gonna have to have some arrangement to pivot them around and point at the sun anyways (even if its just turning the whole craft about itself) - May as well save the weight of making them two-sided. That would basically mean a second set of panels on the other side
But what's the use of...
Another build today!
Mk.1f4-NT is now live!
Bunch of bugs got fixed on this one - simulation feels lots more cromulent!
Game is still free, so please keep telling people about it so that one day this may become a real thing that I can make a living from...
I wouldn't have the gall to...
Showing off the new propeller and engine sounds aboard our trusty remake Devastator from Crimson Skies (which is a really smooth ride in a physics-based sim)
Now with constant-speed propellers!
https://www.motorwings.net/updates
Still free for now! Only cost is please tell everyone who will listen (or can be held in place with rope or something) about it so that we can build up a proper playerbase.
Enjoy!
Now hear this:
I will grant players...
When not working on my own new game (MotorWings flightsim) - Then it's usually ArmA 3. I like flying helicopters with Advanced Flight Model there - It's actually quite a realistic rotorwing simulation (built on spin-off technology from Take On: Helicopters, a nifty heli-sim by the same...
Various ways to integrate it, with 10 steps for a range of 0~10 it should be pretty much the same as summation, no?
I mean, assuming you're using the simple x += dx method for it and not some higher-order RK4 type deal, of course...
anyways - It doesn't seem to have a specific name, but...
Whatever happens, has already happened 642 and a half years ago - We're just waiting until the light gets here so we get to find out...
I suppose astronomers everywhere would give a condescending "that's cute" look to any online gamer complaining of 200-ish millisecond pings...
Would be neat...
Anyways, a few more parts added today:
Also gave the old runway a good revamp, with an overlay arrangement for much sharper textures
This should be in the next build, but for now there isn't enough new stuff to be worth doing a whole release just yet.
Gonna make some more new parts first
Much like HarvesteR, I'm also a game developer. This is possibly related to the fact that we're twins and graduated game design university in the same class.
Curiously enough, we each have our own separate projects, despite some passing similarities between them
My work at present is...
Those genres aren't mutually exclusive, I think...
There are many out there with a shared attention span for both Sim and RPG. Even if there aren't many titles out there that try to bridge the gap across those genres, well, at least not yet.
I'm working on one that should eventually have a...
AFAIK, The MS-FS series is based on a fully parametric flight model.
That is: It solves flight dynamics for the entire aircraft as a unit whole, using a wide array of config parameters to specify just exactly how each particular type performs across its flight envelopes.
Basically, it turns...
