I was curious as to what launchers everyone in Orbiter used. Specifically to both LEO and the Moon. For a particular reason, the options are being kept to launchers compatible with 5m or so payloads, Shuttle, Titan, Delta IV etc.
If there are any others, either post here, or drop me a PM.
Thanks!
Zat

*sorry, forgot to add this earlier, Saturn V+ means any Saturn-derived/Saturn-heritage launcher that is 5m+ fairing size.

I'm really hoping that someone's going to make a really big SSTO or TSTO platform, and we can add that to the poll!

My vote is for this one (hint-hint):

Does anyone else think it would be awesome launching from Siamese Twin C-5Cs?

No it doesn't fit the poll, but if we had it available it would!

In addition to Aenemazoso's Nova-GDB, I also use the Nova-SSTO very often, which appears to have a greater payload capacity.

Some of the launchers on this list I do not use because they only come in .rar format, which I have yet to find a utility which unzips these, but they are on my hard drive waiting to be used.

I tend to use the Kulch's Energia launcher if I want to launch a small payload, but for large / many payloads I use the XR5.

Zatnik, always include an "others" category ;). CVEL Energia is my favorite.

Hello

I haven't released (not yet) any AresV heavy lifter - at least not at Orbit Hangar Mods (OHM) - although have shared with SimNASA an alternative reality AresV configuration (from NASA VSE SC development archives) and do plan to (sooner or later) release it in a proper update to that addon. Such AresV looks like this (outdated previews):
http://www.flickr.com/photos/simcosmos/529811873/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/simcosmos/449343392/

Also plan to release an AresV that is closer to real life NASA plans (visuals + performance) as seen in ‘My Addons + WIP’ page or in some other places where my imagery is used.

This to say that what I do have released at OHM was a version of DIRECT SDLV (which is seriously outdated: sorry, it is taking longer than expected to properly prepare / release a new version with much updated visuals + performances).

Other than that, released a few versions of AresI: some pre-ESAS release (SRB Launcher SC v1.0 = outdated / to perhaps be deleted from OHM, one day), others based in alternative reality configurations (to be released in a later update to NASA VSE SC addon, although some past also outdated *demos* have been shared with Mars For Less Team; more recent demo stuff shared with / available at SimNASA) beyond having released an AresI more in accordance with real life effort (but which is also seriously outdated - more than one year old - and will be replaced whenever find time to package the new meshes + performance with an AresV + do 'boring 'documentation, in a single package).

I'm only writing this small clarification because of the poll options and so that proper credits are given (not sure if the AresV being referenced there as being my work is really my AresV or not). For extra information / clarifications it might be best to browse 'My Addons + WIP' / flickr pages, from time to time (links in forum signature).

Thanks,
António

I usually tend to let the launch vehicle fit the crime, but for general purpose, "get it up there without cheating" launches I like to use Kultch's Energia.

I normally use a shuttle-derived SRB launcher, but I can't remember for the life of me what it is called... It's in the CEV-E package I believe.
